Even though I am on a diet a special day like Mother's Day calls for a treat doesn't it? And what better treat than a cake that comes through your letter box. Yes cake by post, you are probably thinking wont it get ruined going all through the postal service but no it arrived in absolute perfect condition in a cute little tin which can be reused long after the cake has been gobbled up.

There are lots of different designs that you can choose from on the baker days website and you can add your own photos or have one custom made. I chose the cake design below as I think that is the one Thomas would choose as he thinks I am the best mum in Stoke he has told me this before ;)

I am so please with the delivery of the cake it come in 2 days which I wasn't expecting it to be so fast plus if you order before 2pm it will arrive the next working day. I will be honest I wasn't expecting it to turn up in perfect condition but it was so well packaged.

This cake is obviously the letter box size and it will cut in to 4-5 slices  and costs just £14.99 but you can order bigger cakes that will still be posted but you will need to be in to received them as they aren't letter box size. There is also a choice of cakes you don't just have to have sponge you could have fruit,  chocolate, carrot and double chocolate chip plus there is gluten and wheat free if the person you are buying the cake for has special dietary requirements.

I had the sponge cake and oh my was it yummy lovely moist and light if only I wasn't on a diet I would have gobbled it all up in a second.
