Yummy Mummy - Alison Claire Review

A couple of weeks ago I was sent these 2 products from Alison Claire to try out and then review on my blog.
Now I'll be honest with you I hadn't heard of the brand before but after looking on the website before recieving the products I was excited to try them out as they sounded right up my street.

Alison Claire is a natural skincare brand and was created by Alison after she had spent years helping people with sensitive skin so she decided to create her own brand. What I love about the products is that they don't use harsh chemicles and fake smells or colours.

After reading her website I found out that they don't use any of these, "The four big ‘nasties’ are; anything with Laurel or Laureth Sulphate in the name - foaming agents that can irritate the skin, Parabens - a preservative which research has shown to have carcinogenic properties, Phenoxyethanol - another preservative that can depress both the nervous and the immune system, and PEGs, used as engine degreasers, they can loosen the hair from its follicle and cause shedding."

So what was I sent? I recieved Lemongrass Foot cream and Lavender and Chamomile body lotion.

Firstly I tried out the Lemongrass foot cream. It smell really good, very lemony and fresh and the scent also lingers which is good everybody loves nice smelling feet don't they. The foot cream contains shea butter, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil and argan oil and it really does leave your feet feeling soft and moisturised. I have been using this after using a pumice stone just to give my feet a real pamper. Just what Mummys need after pushing your pram around all day. This retails on Alison's website for £12 for 200ml. Which I think is a great price as it's quite a thick cream you don't really need much so it will last you for a while.

I was also sent the Lavender and Chamomile body lotion, First impressions were what a gorgeous smell! Absolutely perfect after a long soak in the bath before bed after a long day, the scent is so relaxing again so perfect for us Mummys.
So what is in this product? Well it has Almond oil, Aloe Vera, witch hazel and ginkgo biloba (What a funny name I love it ginkgo bilboba)
This body lotion is quite thick but not so thick that it doesn't sink in to your skin properly it is also non-greasy and dries quite fast so you don't need to wait around to get dressed after applying it.
Like the foot cream a 200ml tube of this retails for £12 which again I think is a fab price for such a wonderful product.

I have been thoroughly impressed with these products and it has been a pleasure to use them. Unfortunately I'm on a spending ban on body products for a while as I have quite a bit to get through but I will be purchasing off this site when I'm allowed again. I have got my eye on the the Orange and Patchouli hand cream how nice does that sound? and also I'm going to try one of the other body lotions in Mango and Coconut and that sounds lovely too. Hmmm Christmas is coming up I wonder if that's something else I can sneak on my list?

Any products I am sent for reviewing purposes I always give my honest opinions
